It was such a pleasure to make work in the studios of the Hui No’eau visual arts Center while I was staying on Maui over Christmas. I met some great people and this piece was fired in their gas kiln. I gave it to my cousin Jen Salisbury for all the business coaching and encouragement she gave me when I opened my studio. There were a few people that really encouraged me. Without them I am not sure if I would have had the faith to take the risks. I am so glad I did. Carlson Pottery is taking on a life of its own with all the positive energy that so many people are bringing to it. Pottery is starting to be a part of more and more people’s lives in Prince George and I’m so proud to be part of that.
