Carlson Pottery
Current - Since 2013 Owner/Instructor/Program Developer/Designer
Prince George, BC
Since the doors opened, we have taught over 300 classes. We have 2 studios, 10 wheels and 10 kilns including Pit, Raku, Soda, electrics, test kiln.

Program Developer and
Instructor for 4 School Programs in Prince George, all of which were awarded BC Artstarts Awards
2018 and 2020
BC Arts Council Research and Creation Projects focused on learning in Jingdezhen China. Both projects were awarded grants.
2014 Huang Fei Tour.Organized a 3 month tour/residency for a visiting artist from JIngdezhen
China, For this project I partnered with 3 Colleges and 5 Potters guilds to bring Huang
Fei and his Qing Hua classes to students across Canada including Sheridan College
ON, Red Deer College AB as well as Nova Scotia School Of Art and Design
2020(current) Organized a one month Huang Fei follow up tour for BC and Alberta.
2013-17 Prince George Arts Council Governing Board member including 2 years as President
2010-2014 Instructor and Executive Board Member Prince George Potters Guild including
2 years as President
2011 “Believe” program. A program I developed in partnership with the Community Arts
Council funded by the City of Prince George for recovering addicts
2008 – 2011 “Artist’s in the Schools” Prince George Community Arts Council
2005-2008 Beginner/intermediate wheel throwing and handbuilding Prince George Potter’s Guild
